Description
This painting, ‘The Escarpment’ started off as a semi abstract painting of the Flinders Ranges.
However, as often happens with paintings, it gradually morphed into something else.
The word ‘escarpment’ came to mind. Also I like the sound of this word.
According to Google, an escarpment is a long, steep slope, especially one at the edge of a plateau or separating areas of land at different heights.
