Description
The inspiration for my impressionist painting is my love of gardens in general, be they botanic gardens, a neighbourhood garden, or my own back garden.
I particularly love to work with colour,
Flowers are wonderful to paint, even if they are imaginary. They provide delicious colours, and wonderful organic shapes and lines.
The origin of my painting was a mono print from a paint palette – just splotches of colour left at the end of a painting day. Then I saw an image of red flowers against white flowers, and took it from there.
