In my town, as in many towns, there are whole areas that were once busy industrial landscapes.
As heavy industry gradually moved offshore, these areas changed character enormously.
Many, of course, have found other uses. However, the environment of noise and productivity has been replaced by a softer and more silent atmosphere.
