The inspiration for my painting ‘Hillside In Morialta Falls’ was the beautiful landscape of Morialta Conservation Park.
The area is part of the traditional lands of the Kaurna (‘Gar-na) people. Morialta gets its name from the Kaurna word ‘morialta’, meaning ‘ever-flowing’
They used the land for hunting and gathering and obtaining wood for fire and shelter during their seasonal relocation from the coast.
