Description
This painting ‘Colours Of The Australian Bush’ is one of three I have been experimenting with. I am experimenting with the idea of painting or drawing figures over an existing landscape. A landscape I have painted previously, but not been happy with.
In this painting I wanted to use the rich colours of our Australian landscape. Most of us have a deep emotional memory of the landscape colours of our childhood. For some it is the rich browns and purples of the more arid areas, or the varied greens of our more tropical climes.
Often these childhood memories of landscape remain stronger and deeper than landscapes we may inhabit in our adult years.
