Description
The inspiration for my garden painting is the beautiful flowers at Carrick Hill.
Carrick Hill was a bequest to the people of South Australia in1983.
It comprises a major heritage building, a significant art collection, and is set in approximately 40 hectares of land.
The surrounding grounds, modelled on the English country park, feature clumps of trees, orchards, vegetable gardens and cutting beds of roses and a wide variety of beautiful flowers.
Fresh flowers from the cutting beds could always be found throughout the house, and a small room is situated at the back of the house, solely for the arranging of flowers.
