Abstract art is art that does not attempt to represent an accurate depiction of a visual reality but instead use shapes, colours, forms and gestural marks to achieve its effect.
‘Abstract Message’ came about when I was feeling sad about climate change, and our Government’s unwillingness to take action. So I sketched large letters SAD.
Then I considered all the wonderful people taking action, and wrote the words “hope” and “promise”. That gave me shapes to work with until a painting emerged.
